Modules Overview
This course is designed to help beginners master the fundamentals of Adobe InDesign. By the end of the course, students will be able to create professional layouts, design documents for print and digital media, and understand essential tools and workflows.
Module 1: Introduction to InDesign
- Overview of the interface and tools
- Understanding panels, menus, and workspaces
- Setting up a new document (print and digital formats)
Module 2: Working with Tools
- Selection Tool, Type Tool, Shape Tools, and Line Tool.
Module 3: Working with Shape Tools
- Drawing Shape
- Drawing a lot of Shape in the same time
Module 4: Working with Text
- Creating and formatting text frames
- Typographic controls: fonts, styles, and spacing
- Threading text across multiple frames
Module 5: Working with Images
- Placing and adjusting images
- Understanding image resolution and linking
- Using frames and fitting options
Module 6: Basic Layout Design
- Introduce the Layers panel.
- Add and organize layers.
- Lock layers for design control.
Module 7: Color and Swatches
- Demonstrate how to use the Swatches panel.
- Create and apply gradients.
- Adjust stroke weights and styles.
Module 8: Saving and Exporting
- Show export options (PDF, JPEG).
- Discuss resolution and bleed for print files.
- Export a sample file.
